Lot Description
[NATIVE AMERICANS]. Large format photograph of Huron-Wendat Band Council in ceremonial regalia. Wendake, Quebec, 1895, printed later.
10 x 15 in. silver gelatin photograph on 16 x 20 in. cardstock mount (light, even toning; some soiling and edge wear to mount). A ca early 20th century printing of a photograph taken in 1895.
Accompanied by handwritten documentation from previous owners in which members of the Huron-Wendat Council are identified. Subjects include: Élie Sioui, Gaspard Picard, Adolphe Picard, Philippe Vincent, Maurice Sébastien, Francis Gros-Louis, Pierre Gros-Louis, Antoine Bastien, and Antoine Picard.
