[NEW YORK]. Colonial-era manuscript indentures for property near Wall Street, 1694-1743.
Manuscript indenture, 1p, 16 1/4 x 14 1/2 in. (sight, including pendant wax seals), framed to 22 x 26 in. (creasing at folds, light chipping, unexamined outside frame). New York, New York, 6 July 1694. Signed by "Henricus Selyns - Minister of the Gospel within the City of New York and Margrietta his wife..." along with several other signatories, and relating to a parcel of land bordering Wall Street in New York. An early indenture associated with some of today's most valuable real estate.
[With:] Manuscript indenture for "a certain Lot of ground situate lying and being in the City of New York having to the North the street commonly called and known by the name...Wall Street...." 27 October 1725. 15 x 11 in. (sight), framed to 28 x 21 1/2 in. (creasing, toning, unexamined outside frame).
[Also with:] A group of 5 manuscript indentures, dating from 1723-1743, each for property bordering Wall Street in New York. Documents are framed and range in size from 22 x 18 in. (including frame) to 43 x 30 in. (including frame). Conditions vary all unexamined outside frame.
[Also with:] Manuscript indenture between Phillip Minthorne a yeoman from the city of New York, and John Minthorne of the city of New York, conveying "a certain parcel of land called Negro Cogee adjoining to the land of Hendrick Ellis and Negro Porter...." 30 May 1734. 22 x 15 in. (sight), 34 x 27 1/2 in. (creasing, toning, unexamined outside frame).
