"Giron / Se gano / con honor, / dignidad / y conciencia." (Giron earned with honor, dignity, and conscience." PCC. (Communist Party of Cuba) C. Habana . Suarez. Ca, 1960-1970s. 15 1/2 x 23 1/2 in. (sight), framed to 16 1/2 x 24 1/2 in. (toning, light soil, unexamined outside frame). Poster likely celebrates the Cuban Revolution with a reference to the Bay of Pigs Invasion (Batalla de Playa Giron). Red imagery on white background depicts a popular propaganda motif, that of heavy artillery weapons and the figure of Fidel Castro jumping from his Soviet-made self-propelled assault gun.
