Lot Description
** Commercial Mauser Broomhandle C96 Pistol

7.63x25mm. 5.5" barrel length. SN: 267939. Blued metal finish with polished bolt, hammer, and top of sight leaf with fire blued small parts and walnut grip panels. Single action short recoil operated autoloading pistol fed by a clip charged internal magazine. The left frame bears the MAUSER banner, with the right marked WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER/OBERNDORF A. NECKAR/D.R.P.U.A.P. The top of the barrel flat is marked WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER/OBERNDORF A/N. The sights are graduated from 50 to 1000 meters, and both the bolt and barrel display the {Crown/U} commercial proof marking. Grips are non numbered. The serial numbers for the frame and the slide components do not match indicating they were swapped with another pistol at some point. Both the frame and slide retain sharp definition to the machine marks and metal markings with intact metal finish. The butt features a stock mounting cut as well as the lanyard loop and ring. Frame manufactured between 1911 and 1915 with the slide manufactured in 1932.
