** Re-Blued 1st Generation Colt Single Action Army Revolver

.38 WCF. 4.75" barrel length. SN: 199489. (Mfg. ca.1900) Blued metal refinish to all parts with replacement smooth varnished walnut grips. Single action loading gate revolver with six-shot cylinder mounting front blade and topstrap notch sights. The revolver mounts a smokeless powder frame with black powder pattern rifling and a kidney shaped ejector rod head. The left barrel shows the 38 W.C.F. marking with the left frame showing the two-line patent marking followed by the {Rampant Colt} logo within a circle. The top of the barrel shows a two-line address reading COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD. CONN. U.S.A.

Condition Report

Very Good as Refinished. Bore is Frosty with some patches of light pitting near the muzzle and strong rifling throughout. The reblued finish shows a pattern of scratches on the left muzzle, along with some abrasions on the  muzzle. The underside of the barrel shows an abrasion from the ejector rod head. Some traces of light pitting appear on the seams of the frame and have been filled in with blue. Gripstrap finish is flaking with brown patina forming within the losses. Grips show some light scratches with some gaps and some light nicks and dings along the edges of the butt. Action fails to engage the safety lock, but correctly indexes the cylinder and locks up.
