Lot Description
** Sporterized U.S. Springfield Model 1903-A3 with Scope

.30-06. 24" barrel length. SN: 3889499. Reapplied blue metal finish. Walnut Monte Carlo style stock has black synthetic forend and grip caps, ivory spacers, and checkering to semi pistol grip and forearm. Bolt action rifle with a Redfield 4x32mm scope and what appears to be a scope mount with folding rear peep sight, with original sights removed. Item features an internal box magazine, double sling swivel studs, and a vented rubber recoil pad. triggerguard is engraved with simple scroll, and floorplate is fixed with a bear's head escutcheon, possibly silver. Item has been cleaned but shows a faint 3-3 on barrel, and markings to receiver under scope mount.

Condition Report

Good. Bore is bright. Finish appears to have been reapplied, with receiver giving a red hue. There are some light scratches and shallow pit marks scattered overall. Wood stock shows scattered mars and light scratches. Ivory spacers show discoloration and some light cracking. Scope is clear.
