** J.C. Higgins Model 31

.22 S/L/LR. 24" barrel length. SN: NSN. Blued metal finish with a polished bolt and two piece walnut semi pistol grip stock with synthetic buttplate and pistol grip cap. Semi automatic simple blowback operated rifle fed by a front loaded magazine tube. The rifle features a dovetail rail cut onto the receiver and mounts adjustable rear notch and front blade sights. The left stock shows the maker marking J.C. HIGGINS-MODEL 31-PAT NO 2552429/SEARS, ROEBUCK AND CO. 583.3100. The toe of the stock is fitted with an unsigned escutcheon.

Condition Report

Very Good. Bore is Minty with some dust throughout. The blued metal finish shows one abrasion on the upper barrel and a further two on the trigger plate. The stocks show some scattered light scratches. The stock bolts show some deformations to the heads.
