Lot Description
*Factory Class C Engraved Smith & Wesson Model 19 Revolver in Factory Box
.357 Magnum. 6" barrel with grooved rib. SN: 7K30643. Blued finish, color case hardened hammer and trigger, smooth S&W rosewood gold medallion target grips. Double action K-frame pinned and recessed revolver with 3-screw frame, 6-chambered fluted swing out cylinder, target hammer, target trigger, white outline adjustable rear sight and ramped front sight with McGivern gold bead. Standard mid-1970s era Smith & Wesson markings. The matching assembly number 42217 is present on the lower left of the frame under the grips and on the cylinder crane. The serial number is present on the butt and in the frame cut out for the crane and the inside of the frame cut for the ejector rod is numbered 0643. Revolver is engraved with flowing foliate Arabesque scrolls on the frame forward of the cylinder, behind the recoil shield, at the rear of the barrel where it meets the frame and on the triggerguard bow. The end label for the blue two-piece box confirms the serial number, finish, barrel length, target stocks, target hammer and trigger, "GB" for gold bead front sight and also notes "Special Features" code F175. The box contains the original shipping paperwork dated August 11, 1975 which lists the special order features for this gun as including "Class C Engraving, smooth rosewood grips, 1/8" McGivern gold bead front sight, white outline rear sight, target hammer, target trigger." The original factory paperwork, cleaning rod, bore mop, bore brush and screwdriver are present as well.

Condition Report
Fine. The bore is fine, bright and shiny with crisp rifling and showing some scattered traces of fouling which should clean up. Revolver retains near all of the blued finish with some minor high edge wear and a very light turn ring on the cylinder. Hammer and trigger with nearly all of their case colors intact. Rear sight with some freckles of minor surface rust, with another small patch of surface rust and minor roughness near the muzzle on the right side of the barrel. Markings and engraving are crisp. Mechanically functional action. Grips with some surface wear and varnish loss and showing some light handling marks. Box with moderate wear and showing a moderate amount of surface mildew on the lid.
