Six Japanese Scholar's Objects
Meiji-Taisho Period
comprising a gold lacquer rectangular covered box, the front of the cover decorated to show a male immortal flying above clouds, the reverse showing an incense burner resting on a tall stand next to several scrolls and a large flowering plant, the sides decorated with diaper cells and floral medallions; five silver pins in shapes of teapot, fuji mountain, pagoda, house and helmet.
Box: 5 1/4 x 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 in., 13.3 x 6.4 x 8.9 cm.
