The sloping walls resting atop a short, circular foot, rising to a slightly flared rim, the domed cover surmounted by a circular knop, modeled with raised vertical petals, the top of the cover and the base of the bowl each bearing a gilt highlighted Qianlong four-character mark, the central interior of the cover lacquered black and decorated in gilt with an imperial poem, dated lunar year bingshen (1776).
款識：制是菊花式，把比菊花輕。啜茗合陶句，裛露掇其英。乾隆丙申（1776）春御題。
