8vo. Frontispiece and 7 plates by T.M.R. Whitwell. (Some occasional light spotting.) Original red cloth pictorially stamped in blue, white, black, and gilt (lacking the scarce dust jacket, some minor wear to extremities, hinges started or starting). Provenance: Sold Frank Bishop (bookseller's ticket on rear pastedown).

First reissue of the first edition, with the 8 pages of advertisements at end titled "List of Books for Boys and Girls." Connolly 6; McIlvaine A6a2.
