Lot Description
A French Gilt Bronze and Jasperware Mounted Burlwood Dining Suite
Circa 1900
comprising a marble-top serving cabinet, a marble-top sideboard with mirror, a dining table and eight dining chairs; the table with one additional leaf.
Height of serving cabinet 81 x width 78 1/2 x depth 24 inches.

Condition Report
Serving cabinet: with two glass shelves and three wood shelves. with back proper left foot detached but retained, would need to be repaired prior to use.

Sideboard: height overall 63 3/4 x width 57 1/4 x depth 21 1/2 inches;. Interior shelves for side cabinets, but not central cabinet. Marble top has been professionally repaired.

Dining table: height 28 1/4 x length 63 1/2 x depth 51 1/4 inches (without leaf); length of leaf 24 inches. Has one leaf. The lead with a lighter surface than the two wings. Expansion action of table suggests there were more leaves originally with table. Scattered areas of loss to veneer on edges. Splits to veneer on top particular on the additional leaf. The jasperware plaque on base-stretcher of table with a chip to the edge.

Dining chairs: height 33 1/2 inches. Two chairs with cane seats pushed through and would need restoration. One with damage to caning, but could be used, at least temporarily. One with sun bleached finish including small area of loss to veneer on seat railing. One dining chair with back splat detached but present.
