[MILITARIA]. 40+ British buttons from the Estate of Carroll J. Delery III. Revolutionary War-1800s.
Lot comprised of 40+ buttons, most excavated, ranging in size from approx. 1/2 in. to 1 in. diameter, dating from the Revolutionary War-era through the 1800s.

Many buttons are accompanied by modern tags furnished by the consignor, with no further provenance accompanying the lot. Highlighted buttons include: British Navy captain, silver octagon shaped. -- 67th Regiment. -- British Artillery. -- Button, possibly French and Indian War-era, found near Quebec, British Camp (consignor notes). -- 53rd Regiment, dug at Saratoga, NY (consignor notes). -- 62nd Regiment. -- British lieutenant. -- 84th Royal Highlander. -- 29th Regiment. -- 74th Regiment. -- British Marines. -- 49th Regiment. -- 21st Regiment. -- 3rd American Loyalist issue button, with modern tag identifying the button to the New York Volunteers. -- 20th Light Dragoons.
