A Meissen porcelain figural group: Cupid Untethered, Germany, 19th century

The underside marked with blue underglaze crossed swords mark indicating post 1815 production, inscribed with numeral, "24," impressed with numeral, "50," and incised with number, "440" (?).

H: 12 1/2 in. W: 13 1/2 in. D: 10 in.

Condition Report

the gilded base edge with a few shallow chips that have been touched up; the right-facing figure with repaired break to arm holding dish, with overpainting evident; a break / loss to tail of front-most dove; some losses to leaf clusters, floral wreath, and to Cupid's bow and quiver along ground, the bow appears to have restored string; some losses to Cupid's tether; some occasional spots of surface grime present
