Publisher's crepe-paper wrappers, silk ties; in publisher's paper-covered board slip case, printed cover label, faux-bone clasps, lightly soiled, spotting to label, boards unevenly faded, boards starting. A handsome set of Hearn's popular and beautifully constructed volumes of Japanese Fairy Tales. First published at the turn of the 19th-century, and reprinted here, ca. 1931, by the original Japanese publisher, and distributed by Philadelphia's Macrae-Smith Company.
