A Chinese Famille Rose Decorated 'Cong' Vase
Daoguang six-character seal mark
possibly Guangxu period, decorated on each side with a mounted figure with hawk and rifle, a man leading a laden camel, a man with rifle and hound, and a rider mounted on a camel smoking a pipe, underside with six-character seal mark in iron-red.
Height of vase 11 3/4 inches.

Hubert McDonnell Snr. and by descent to Aline Mary Margaret (Elwes) McDonnell (1923-2023) m. Hubert McDonnell Jr. (1919-2004), Greenwich, Connecticut, and thence by descent
