Note:
This example is one of the earliest designs that Johan Rohde brought to the Jensen firm. Originally trained as a painter and nearly 10-years older than Jensen, Rohde's involvement with Georg Jensen began in 1906 when Rohde hired Georg Jensen to craft a coffee pot, sugar and creamer which he designed [1]. The base of the piece is decorated with sinuous lines accented with silver spheres, a motif that Rohde would also use on other items like a covered jar. The marks on the underside of this pitcher indicate that it was made during the Rohde's employment with the firm.
