A Louis XV Gilt Bronze Mounted Ebony Commode
MANNER OF ANDRE CHARLES BOULLE, 18TH CENTURY WITH ALTERATION
having a rectangular marble top with rounded corners on a bombe form case fitted with two drawers, the upper drawer mounted with a lion mask, the lower drawer mounted with two female masks, both drawers inlaid with brass foliate scrolls and flanked by acanthus mounts headed with masks at the corners, raised on splayed legs ending in hairy paw cast sabots.
