Flanks of the frame are engraved HOLLAND/&/HOLLAND within engraved borders with English spiral scroll borders to the frame and wheat chaff engraved borders to tangs, triggerguard, lever, and upper and lower frame. Engraving does not match the pattern typically encountered on Holland & Holland actions, suggesting it was completely redone. Barrel address reads HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98 NEW BOND STREET. LONDON. Serial number data matches a rifle that originally left Holland & Holland in .303 caliber.
