A Roman Marble Portrait Head of Eros
Circa 1st-2nd Century A.D.
Height 6 inches (15 cm).
Provenance:
Dr. Jeffrey Stiles, Spring City, Pennsylvania.

Condition Report
Intact as preserved. The surface worn from heavy weathering and cleaning at some point. Heavy incrustation to the back of the head at nape. Other minor chips and abrasions throughout with a slight brown patination. No obvious restoration. The underside is uneven but smooth and drilled to accommodate modern brown wood base. Adhesion around drill hole. Height with base 10 1/2 inches. Overall in fine attractive condition.
