A group of 25 items, highlighted by handheld telescopes, found in the workshop of George W. Fitz, Peconic, New York. 

1 1/2 in. wood and brass partial telescope, lacking draws. Body tube length 18 7/8 in. 19th century.

[With:] 1 5/16 in. wood and brass partial telescope, lacking draws, with pull tab lens cap. Body tube length 18 3/8 in. 19th century.

[With:] Brass eyepiece. Body tube length 6 1/8 in. Engraved on tube, " Dollond / London." 19th century.

[Also with:]
6 lenses, largest 2 1/4 in.
5 partial  telescope body tubes
1 brass refractor
8 brass or metal partial eyepieces or fittings.
6 brass lens caps
1 brass dial focusers, one
1 dial associated with a portable telegraph, engraved "Skirrow, Patent 760029." This patent was issued to John F. Skirrow on 17 May 1904 for a portable telegraph sounder.
