Lot Description
[BENJAMIN HARRISON]. A group of cabinet card portraits featuring campaign badges, flags, and pins, comprising: 

Full-length studio portrait of an enthusiastic Republican. 3 15/16 x 5 1/2 in. albumen cabinet photograph on cardstock mount. Chicago: Hesler, ca 1888. An unknown Republican subject holding a large American flag with the names of Republican presidents and candidates on the hoist: "Grant - Garfield - Blaine - Harrison." A large patriotic ribbon is fastened to the subject's coat.

Half-length studio portrait of a mustachioed man wearing a badge featuring jugate portraits of Harrison and Morton. Tilton, NH: Houlton & Sanderson, [1888]. -- Half-length studio portrait of a young man, possibly in a militia. Minneapolis: J.A. Brush, ca 1889. The subject wears a kepi with an "MFC" badge, possibly that of a local militia or veteran organization. He wears six ribbons and badges upon his chest, most featuring Benjamin Harrison including an example from the 1889 Inauguration. -- Full-length studio portrait of a young boy leaning against a studio pillar upon which rests a "Harrison & Morton" hat. Moravia, NY: Speck, 1888. -- Two full-length studio portraits of boys, likely brothers, holding "Harrison & Morton" hats. Columbus, OH: Mulligan Brothers, [1888]. -- Together, 5 albumen cabinet photographs with cardstock mounts, condition generally very good.

[Also with:] Full-length studio portrait of a young child. Danville, KY: Fox, 1888. 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 in. albumen CDV on cardstock mount. Period ink inscription to mount verso. Subject, unnamed but 2 years and 8 months, wears a flamboyant outfit with high socks, kerchief, and "Harrison & Morton" hat.
