Lot Description
A group of 10 reproduction Civil War insignia. [Ca 1960s].
10 reproduction brass insignia made from original dies in the 1960s, ranging in size from 2 1/8 x 1 1/4 in. to 3 1/2 x 1 3/4 in. Conditions generally fine, with some darkening and discoloration to each example. Each with a straight wire fastener soldered to verso. Included are officers' and enlisted men's insignia for the 3 main branches of the infantry, cavalry, and artillery, along with an enlisted man's Hardee hat eagle, an Irish harp, a US Marine Corps hat device, and a brass wreath.
James Frasca acquired the insignia for comparison purposes with the original insignia.
