Civil War-period writing group, comprising: 

Colorful, red, white, and blue, patriotic paper box from Union Mills featuring Lady Liberty with US flag
 
[With:] Ornate red and black fountain pen box  with “Aikin, Lambert & Co. New York” embossed in gold on the top. Contains a bone pen and pencil set.

[With:] Cardboard box containing metal fountain pen nibs manufactured by Harrison & Bradford, 1865.
 
[With:] Wooden traveling inkwell shaped like a barrel (inside glass bottle is intact).
 
[With:] Sealing wax cake made by Francis Ullathorn, London, with a beehive logo.
 
[With:] Hinged metal case with brass spectacles. The spectacles have a  Schreiber hallmark on the right temple. The temples slide to accommodate the wearer.
 
[Also with:] Small, circular silvered brass magnifier with a loop brass handle.
