Libby Prison shackles worn by escaped Union soldier with vintage tag.
28 in. lg. iron leg shackles (rusting throughout, one shackle fully separated, the other misaligned and with bolt removed). Accompanied by browned ink tag reading, "Leg Shackles with which Union soldier escaped Libby prison." Neither the identity of the soldier nor the circumstances of his escape are known.
