A Graduate Gemologist (GIA) who specializes in evaluating and appraising fine antique, estate jewelry and gemstones, Ms. Matteini provides streamlined services for Freeman's | Hindman jewelry clients throughout Florida and the Southeast. Prior to joining the firm, she served as Bonhams Vice President for the Florida region and as the Regional Director for Skinner Auctioneers. A native New Englander, April has lived in South Florida since 2005 with her family. She enjoys membership in the American Society of Jewelry Historians, the jewelry social club Gem-X, and a life-long love of sailing. April brings more than 25 years of jewelry appraisal and auction house experience, combined with exceptional communications and customer service skills to her position.

An avid collector and entrepreneur, Reginald Brack has held several pioneering positions in the luxury sector, including Senior Vice President, International Head of Retail, Watches at Christie's, where he successfully launched and managed both the private sales program and the e-commerce business. His tenure as the Founding General Manager of Watches at StockX played a pivotal role in transforming the platform into a multi-billion-dollar luxury marketplace. Prior to joining Hindman, Reginald served as the Executive Director, Industry Analyst – Watches & Luxury at The NPD Group (now Circana) where he provided data and market insight to luxury C-suite brand and retail executives.

Dianne Batista brings 30 years of deep and wide-ranging jewelry experience to this role. Before joining Freeman’s | Hindman, she was the Director of Jewelry & Watches and Senior Specialist at Rago/Wright Auction House. Prior to joining Rago/Wright, she consulted independently as Archive Manager at David Webb amongst other roles. 

With her vast experience in the industry, she has held positions as both a Senior Jewelry Specialist and consultant at Christie’s. In the retail jewelry sector, she was the US Head of Dior Fine Jewelry and Cinta Jewelry Director at John Hardy. She has lectured extensively and has appeared as an original jewelry expert on PBS's Antiques Roadshow.  
Batista has worked with significant estates and brought many historic fine jewelry pieces to market. Most recently she was responsible for presenting many important pieces of artist jewelry, including pieces by Calder, Lalanne, Burle Marx, Loloma, Margaret De Patta, and Jean Despres to the auction market 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Randolph Macon Woman’s College and is graduate of the Gemological Institute of America’s diamonds, diamond grading, and gem identification.

Ms. Thuston brings to Freeman's | Hindman over 20 years’ experience in antique, period and estate jewelry having facilitated the selling process for thousands of clients. Her career includes opening the Chicago jewelry department at Heritage Auctions and directing the Chicago office of CIRCA for twelve years. Earlier in her career she sold jewelry and watches for two of Chicago’s leading jewelers, CD Peacock and Sidney Garber. She is a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America and has a Bachelor of Arts in music from Albion College. Ms. Thuston has received national and chapter awards for her work with the Women’s Jewelry Association and is an executive board member of the Chicago History Museum Costume Council, a candidate member of the National Association of Jewelry appraisers (NAJA), a voting member of the Accredited Gemologist Association (AGA) and member of The American Society of Jewelry Historians.

Ms. Hammer brings 16 years of experience in the jewelry industry to Freeman's | Hindman. She began her jewelry career in New York City working as a diamond grader at GIA while simultaneously achieving her Graduate Gemologist degree. She then worked in luxury retail on Madison Avenue where she collaborated with world renowned jewelry houses. From New York she moved to Asia where she advised in high end colored diamonds sales. After moving to Chicago in 2012, she continued her jewelry career specializing in diamonds and design, as well as managing appraisals at Steve Quick Jeweler. Though she loves working with all exquisite gemstones and revels in the history of antique pieces, she also values the connections she makes with clients and understands both the emotional and business side of the jewelry world. Karina grew up in Perth, Australia and has also lived in the United Kingdom, New York City and Singapore.

Katie Guilbault is the Vice President of Trusts, Estates & Private Clients for Freeman's | Hindman’s San Diego office.

Katie Guilbault is a Graduate Gemologist and has traveled the country evaluating important jewelry collections including antique, period and contemporary pieces. She first joined the firm in 2003, where she became the Director of Jewelry & Watches and Director of Consignments. In 2007, Katie joined Trabert & Hoeffer as an appraiser and sales associate. Following her time at Trabert & Hoeffer, Katie launched a jewelry consulting business, providing fine jewelry appraisal and custom design services. She returned to Freeman's | Hindman in 2017 as a Senior Specialist of Jewelry & Watches. Katie brings a wealth of valuation experience to Southern California, as she establishes the firm’s expanded presence on the West Coast.

Ms. Palmer brings over 15 years of retail experience to her role as a specialist at Freeman's | Hindman. Most recently, she earned her certification in gemology and worked as the in-store appraiser and sales consultant for Hurdle’s Jewelry in Boulder, Colorado. She developed long-standing relationships with clients and helped guide them in their jewelry purchases and insuring their collections. At Hindman she combines her passion for jewelry with her educational background. Ms. Palmer has a BA in history from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a Member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers.
