Hindman’s Timepieces department handles timepieces from the 16th century to the modern day, including pocket watches, wristwatches, tourbillons and perpetual calendars.

Katie Guilbault is the director and senior specialist for Jewelry and Timepieces at Hindman.
As a certified gemologist, she travels the country evaluating important jewelry collections and items across all time periods. Ms. Guilbault first joined the firm in 2003 as an Account Executive and was later promoted to Director of Fine Jewelry and Director of Consignments. She left in 2007, spending the next eight years working for Chicago jeweler Trabert & Hoeffer as an appraiser and sales associate. After this, Ms. Guilbault started her own jewelry consulting business, where she provided fine jewelry appraisals and custom design services. She returned to the firm in 2017, bringing over ten years of appraisal expertise to the department. She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business.
Jamie Henderson is a specialist for Jewelry and Timepieces at Hindman.
She joined the firm in 2011 as an account executive and has held several positions including cataloguer, associate specialist and was promoted to specialist in 2017. She researches and evaluates thousands of items for Hindman’s clients and specializes in antique, vintage and artisan jewelry, fine timepieces and silver jewelry. Previously Ms. Henderson has laser inscribed diamonds for Professional Gem Sciences Laboratory, worked for Finlay Fine Jewelry and was a cataloguer for the Haifa Faisal Collection of Saudi Arabia Traditional Arts. Ms. Henderson has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is a member of the Association for the Study of Jewelry & Related Arts (ASJRA) and the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors (NAWCC).
Marisa Ackerman is a specialist for Jewelry and Timepieces at Hindman.
She brings over fifteen years of retail experience to her new role as specialist to the Hindman team. Most recently joining us from Boulder, Colorado where she earned her certification in gemology and worked as the in-store appraiser and sales consultant for Hurdle’s Jewelry. In Boulder, Ms. Ackerman developed long standing relationships with clients and helped guide them with their jewelry purchases and insuring of their collections. She is excited to be back in Chicago and in the role of specialist where she can utilize her passion for jewelry coupled with her educational background. Ms. Ackerman is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in History.
Nicole Gunn is a specialist for Jewelry and Timepieces at Hindman.
In this role, she meets with clients across the Southeast region to evaluate their private jewelry collections and facilitate bringing special heirlooms to auction. Ms. Gunn has over 22 years of experience in the jewelry world, most recently spending almost a decade as President of Paradiso Jewelry. After working in Boston and London, she returned to her native Florida, where she joined the Hindman team in 2018. A graduate of the Gemological Institute of America, Ms. Gunn has earned her Graduate Gemologist degree.
