Lot Description

Christian Dior by Marc Bohan Haute Couture Ensemble, Autumn-Winter 1965

Worn by Dame Olivia de Havilland

Ensemble consists of jacket, skirt, belt and hat made with a blue wool. The main seams of all three items are sewn with a machine, while the inside, finishing stitches are sewn by hand. The jacket has a fold down collar with long sleeves and a center front three-button closure. At the top of each side vent is an attached, self-fabric belt which gathers the back panel. The a-line skirt is gathered into the waistband, has a slip pocket over each hip and closes down the center back with a zip.

Ensemble is in overall very good condition. Some minor fraying on the skirt's center back hook and eye closure. The fabric over the belt buckle have come loose or is broken/frail.
