Lot Description
Christian Dior by Marc Bohan Haute Couture Ensemble, Autumn-Winter 1965 
Worn by Olivia de Havilland for a book signing following her release of Every Frenchman Has One.

Ensemble consists of jacket, skirt, blouse and hat. The main fabric is a green boucle. The main seams of the ensemble are sewn by machine while the inside, finishing stitches are done by hand. The jacket has a fold down collar, long sleeves and a center front double-breasted button closure. Over each side/hem of the jacket is a decorative section of panels. The blouse is made of green silk crepe underlined with cream silk and is cut with a fitted bodice and bias-cut neckline. The blouse closes down the center back with a zip.  The a-line skirt has an off-center back zip. Green felt hat in 1920s cloche-style with asymmetrical brim.

Condition Report
Condition:
The jacket is in overall very good condition. The lining has wear marks on each side near the hem and is worn through in small spots. The lining of each underarm has been repaired. The blouse is in stable condition, but has discolored overall to a green/yellow, which is most noticable under the arms. The underlining was repaired under each arm.
The exterior of the skirt is in very good condition. The skirt lining has been repaired in the seat. Hat is in very good condition with some rust ont he hat pins.

The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use.
