Three 19th and Early 20th Century Corsets, 1870-1905 

This lot includes three corsets. 

THE FIRST
White cotton twill corset edged with "crown" patterned trim, reinforced ribbing, front metal post and loop closure, and lace up back. Laces are included, though likely not original. 
Unlabeled, but with museum accession number.

THE SECOND
Light blue cotton twill corset edged with floral patterned trim, pink reinforcement decorative stitching, front metal post and loop closure, and lace up back, but no lacings.

THE THIRD
Cream silk satin corset trimmed with white lace and satin ribbon bows, front metal post and loop closure, and lace up back. Unlabeled

Condition Report
Condition:

THE FIRST
The overall condition is very good structurally with the following:
Structural Issues: The boning casing at the bottom left center front has opened. 
Fading/Color Change: The corset has darkened overall due to age and wear.
Soiling/Spots: There is moderate-heavy soiling throughout the corset, primarily along the bust and side seams.
Corrosion/Tarnish: There is some rusting noticeable at various points throughout the corset through the fabric.

THE SECOND
The overall condition is very good with the following:
Split/Separated Seams: There is a loose pink reinforcement stitch loose on the upper right side seam.
Fading/Color Change: There is some darkening in the bust cup area.

THE THIRD
The overall condition is very good with the following:
Soiling/Spots: There are some minor spots on the interior along the back of the front closure and upper right back.
Corrosion/Tarnish: There are a couple of minor areas where the metal boning has produced rust spots inside the corset.
