Three Mid 19th Century Bodices, 1840-50s 

This lot includes three bodices. 

THE FIRST
Black silk taffeta bodice trimmed with black lace, short flared sleeves, gathered and shirred front, and center back hook and eye closures. 
Unlabeled, though there is a tag "Wadsworth Atheneum / 41.340A"

Condition:

THE FIRST
The overall condition is good with the following:
Split/Separated Seams:
Losses: There is a small hole on the back left shoulder. 
Fading/Color Change: The lining has darkened due to age and wear. 
Soiling/Spots: There is some moderate soiling under each arm in the shell and lining. 

THE SECOND
The overall condition is very good structurally with the following:
Soiling/Spots: There are some minor spots throughout the bodice, mostly noticeable on the interior. 

THE THIRD
The overall condition is good with the following:
Structural Issues: There is a small split on the back right near the center back waist. 
Soiling/Spots: There is moderate soiling at the underarms and throughout the lining.
