Lot Description
Civil War J.D. Chevalier California Bowie knife and sheath.
7 in. blade stamped “Chevalier’s California Knife / J.D. Chevalier / New-York” (exhibits wear consistent with heavy use). The wooden handle is a period replacement. The pasteboard sheath still retains the original brass throat but is missing the brass tip.
