A Chinese Pale Celadon Jade Snuff Bottle
19TH CENTURY
清中期 青白玉刻花御題詩鼻烟壺
御詩:誰識紅華絳采敷,能囊白色水晶珠。蜀葵㡬朶芳姿暎,合喚天中輯瑞圖。
the translucent stone flecked white, carved to a compressed shield form with narrow sides and wide shoulders beneath a raised lip, the exterior lightly incised with flower branches issuing from rockery beneath an imperial verse.

Accessioned by the Strong in 1978.
Condition Report
In overall very good and complete condition, with natural fissure across the belly and faint fleabites to the mouth rim. Residual museum wax at the foot. Spoon and stopper present, though broken at the stopper and lodged within the bottle. Applied with handwritten accession number.
