A Chinese White and Russet Jade Pebble-Form Snuff Bottle
19TH CENTURY
清中期 白玉隨形鼻煙壺
the milky stone of creamy white tone with a russet skin softly polished to in an irregular pebble form, leaving on side plain, the other streaked with russet along the stone's natural striations, carved in low relief with a bat descending towards lingzhi fungus, tiger's eye stopper.

Accessioned by the Strong in 1978.
Condition Report
In very good stable condition, the stone with natural stable fissures to the face. Spoon and stopper present and intact. Handwritten accession number applied to underside.
