Likely Swiss, 18th/19th Century

of rectangular form with rounded corners, the lid centered with a Swiss enamel plaque depicting Old Testament figures surrounded by a rinceau decorated border, the sides with Taille d’épargne columns at corners and blue enamel trim along borders, the underside decorated with a foliate spray.

Condition Report

In good, stable, attractive condition. Lid opens and closes easily and sits flush to body when closed. The side panels of lid more dirty than rest of box, does not appear to be a significant condition issue. Examination under UV light does not show repair nor restoration to enamel decoration.
