Hindman’s Naples office has provided full auction services to Southwest Florida communities year-round since its opening in 2010. As Hindman’s first regional office, Naples is served by specialists in all departments including Fine Art, Jewelry, Furniture and Decorative Arts, Modern Design, Luxury Accessories and Couture, and more. Our Naples office accepts consignments for over 100 auctions a year that reach a global audience of collectors. Notable local sales have included the estates of renowned collector Olga Hirshorn, as well as the businessman and philanthropist Gerard Cafesjian.
Elizabeth Rader is the Business Development Manager for the Naples branch of Hindman.
Ms. Rader has extensive experience in building relationships and business connections in support of artistic and international cultural institutions such as: Mexico’s National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) and National Institute of Fine Arts (IMBA), Holland’s Rijksmuseum voor Vulkenkunde ,The British Museum and Cultural Ministries in Latin America. Most recently she worked for the London based Art Loss Register as their American Development Director. Responsible for managing clients in the American, Canadian and Latin American markets, Ms. Rader increased auction house business by over 100%, and executed strategies to develop relationships with private collectors and trade to include dealers, appraisers, museums, and art fair organizers at TEFAF and Art Basel Miami. She completed her undergraduate degree at Florida State University and went on to obtain an MPhil in Antiquities from The University of Glasgow, Christie’s Education, London. Her PhD in the History of Art and Theory was conferred by the University of Essex in 2012, with a concentration on the art and imagery from Colonial Latin America and Habsburg Spain.
Kate Waterhouse is Vice President of the Southeast at Hindman.
As Vice President, Southeast, Waterhouse advises clients on potential consignments and collection management while growing in existing and new markets and being a key partner to the firm’s eight locations, including national trusts, estates and appraisal teams. Having begun her career as a fine jewelry specialist at Freeman’s she was subsequently promoted to Head of Department and Vice President. During this time Ms. Waterhouse had the pleasure and honor of working as a Jewelry Specialist for the Antiques Roadshow on PBS as well as the Today Show on NBC. Waterhouse later became Jewelry Director for Heritage Auctions’ New York office and then managed business development as Assistant Vice President for Sotheby’s Palm Beach. She has worked on important estates including Property from the Collection of Mrs. Paul Mellon: Interiors; and The Collection of Mrs. Marjorie S. Fisher: Palm Beach. Ms.Waterhouse has also assisted with the sales of property sold to benefit the Philadelphia Museum of Art and, separately, the Ann Norton Sculpture Garden.
