Freeman’s | Hindman, one of the nation’s premier auction houses, is proud to announce the appointment of Julia Fitzgerald as Chief Marketing Officer. Fitzgerald brings over 20 years of executive leadership experience in branding, digital marketing, and transformative marketing strategies to her new role. Her expertise will support the company’s continued growth and accelerate its digital evolution.

Fitzgerald is recognized for her innovative branding approach and ability to connect with audiences through digital and omni-channel campaigns. Most recently, she served as Chief Marketing Officer for Build-A-Bear, leading a brand refresh that expanded the company’s appeal beyond its traditional audience, resulting in increased visibility and customer engagement. Her career also includes key leadership roles at the American Lung Association, Sears Holdings, Vtech, and Hallmark, where she demonstrated her expertise in digital transformation and impactful marketing strategies.

At Freeman’s | Hindman, Fitzgerald will focus on leveraging the combined strengths of the recently unified auction houses to expand the company’s national presence. With a new location in New York and a growing portfolio of high-profile auctions, her leadership will play a key role in engaging collectors across digital platforms and telling the stories behind remarkable artwork, collections, and the specialists who bring them to market.

Fitzgerald holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and has authored the Amazon best-selling book Midsize, highlighting effective marketing strategies for midsize companies. She is a guest lecturer at the Kellogg School of Management and The Ohio State University’s Fisher School of Business.
