Lot Description

[WORLD WAR II]. A group of souvenirs including trench art and Douglas MacArthur commemorative items.

Lot highlighted by artillery shell trench art. First featuring images from North Africa including the sphinx, a pyramid, and desert sun, along with text "Egypt" and "1943," 5 1/4 x 1 in.  The second, possibly WWI or WWII, featuring a finely detailed floral motif with an anchor, approx. 6 x 1 1/2 in. on 2 3/4 in. base. Condition generally good on both pieces.

[With:] Hand-painted wood-framed ceramic coasters and matching tray featuring images from WWII (possibly WWI), with illustrations on both referencing the 506th Military Police Battalion. -- A pipe featuring a bowl with the face of General Douglas MacArthur, accompanied by other MacArthur commemorative objects such as a ceramic mug and small statuettes. -- A hand bell inscribed along edge with "Cast in metal from German aircraft shot down over Britain 1939-1945 / R.A.F. Benevolent Fund" and relief images of Stalin, FDR, and Churchill. -- A "Snafu Medal" for "Inconspicuous Service." -- Additional ephemera. 

Items in generally good condition with expected wear given age.
