[CIVIL WAR]. Sixth plate ambrotype of a possible Rebel from Texas.
Sixth plate ambrotype. (Few blemishes, areas of loss to emulsion.) Housed in full pressed paper case (reinforced at hinge, edge and corner wear). The seated subject wears a slouch hat, a paisley flowered shirt, a military-style vest with military buttons, and riding boots. Provenance: George Esker (consignor description). The consignor's description indicates that Esker related that the image originated in Texas.
