2 x 3 in. tintype portrait of a double-armed cavalryman. (Plate with significant bends and creases, a few spots of image loss at creases, and notable dark spot to upper left; unsealed but with modern adhesive holding plate to mat in two spots). Housed in a full pressed paper case. The bearded Union private stands against a backdrop painted with a detailed camp scene, holding a saber in one hand and having a pistol tucked into his belt. He wears a forage cap, shell jacket, and sword belt rig, all featuring gold highlighted details.
