[SLAVERY & ABOLITION]. Bill of sale for "Negro Man Jerry". Amite City, St. Helena Parish, Louisiana, 26 September 1863. 

3 pages, folio, 7 3/8 x 12 in., old folds. Undersigned. Docketed to verso. 

A lengthy manuscript bill of sale for the enslaved man "Jerry - of Black Complexion Aged about Thirty Six Years and a slave for life." Jerry was sold by Margaret Jane Baker of St. Tammany Parish, LA to Stephen Richards of St. Helena Perish for $1250 (likely Confederate currency). 
This lot is located in Cincinnati.
