A lengthy manuscript bill of sale for the enslaved man "Jerry - of Black Complexion Aged about Thirty Six Years and a slave for life." Jerry was sold by Margaret Jane Baker of St. Tammany Parish, LA to Stephen Richards of St. Helena Perish for $1250 (likely Confederate currency).
