Documents record the liberation (or attempted liberation) of several individuals from enslavement, including a 31-year-old creole woman named Elena, a 50-year-old African woman named Josefa, a 22-year-old creole man named Gregorio, a 20-year-old creole woman named Amalia, and others. One document records the attempt of Bernardo Knight to purchase freedom for his wife, Morena Gertrudis, who was sold by a woman who will not disclose to whom she sold her.
