[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 3 daguerreotypes of large groups, incl. portrait with 4 female schoolmates

Half plate portrait of a family of 8. (Heavy scratching and clouding to plate, including some spots of loss to image, heavy spotting to mat and preserver.) Housed in a fully separated book-style case with hand painting and mother-of-pearl inlay (fully separated at spine, heavy wear throughout, closure clasps missing). -- Quarter plate portrait of a group of 5 people including 4 women and one young man. (Heavy tarnishing to edges, spotting, clouding, and residue throughout image, heavy oxidation to mat and preserver; unsealed.) Housed under mat, glass, and preserver only, no case. Paper label adhered to back of image reads, "This picture is of my mother (Lower right) and some of her schoolmates. My mother's name was Harriet May Scholefield. My father - Thomas Albin Buell. / Gertrude Buell Card." -- And a quarter plate copy portrait of a large family group. -- Together, 3 daguerreotype portraits of large groups of people.
