[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 4 daguerreotype portraits of children posed with interesting props, including:
Sixth plate seated portrait of a young boy holding what appears to be a porcelain dog figurine in his lap. (Some tarnishing to edges, spotting, and other imperfections including a few scratches to plate, spotting to mat; resealed 1993.) Housed in a half pressed paper case (surface wear). -- Sixth plate seated portrait of a young girl holding a basket in her lap. (Some tarnishing to edges and clouding to plate, oxidation to preserver; resealed 1997.) Housed in a leatherette case (significant wear and loss throughout, including upper edge of front cover and heavy finish loss). -- And 2 others, including one quarter plate example and one sixth plate example. -- Together, 4 daguerreotype portraits of children with assorted props.
