[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY].  3 daguerreotypes by Ohio photographers including BALL, BARNABY, and NORTH.

Half plate portrait of a couple. Cleveland, OH: North, n.d. (Spotting and other imperfections mostly to lower half of plate, subjects' faces quite clear, oxidation to mat and preserver; resealed 2012.) Housed in a pressed paper case (significant surface wear and a few cracks). Velvet pad marked for North. -- Quarter plate portrait of a middle aged couple. Cincinnati, OH: J.P. Ball, n.d. (Heavy clouding, spotting, and residue to plate and possibly glass, light tarnishing to edges, spotting to mat; retains original seals.) Housed in a pressed paper case (general wear). Mat stamped for Ball. -- Sixth plate portrait of a young girl. Dayton, OH: Barnaby, n.d. (Heavy tarnishing to edges, significant spotting and imperfections thorughout plate, clouding image, heavy oxidation to mat and preserver; retains original seals.) Housed in a half leatherette case (significant surface wear). -- Together, 3 daguerreotypes by Ohio artists.
