Partly printed land grant secretarially signed. Washington, D.C., 20 March 1837. 16 1/8 x 10 in., with wafer seal, some toning along old folds, docketed to verso. A land grant for William Clark of La Porte County, Indiana, registered at the Land Office at La Porte. -- Partly printed land grant secretarially signed. Washington, D.C., 10 November 1840. Visible 15 5/8 x 10 in., with wafer seal, some losses along old folds, not examined out of frame. A land grant for Hiram Grisell of Jay County, Indiana, registered at the Land Office at Fort Wayne. -- Together, 2 documents, both secretarially signed by Martin Van Buren, Jr. (1812-1855) as his father's Secretary.
