[18TH CENTURY]. A group of buckles and rings, many dating from the 18th century.
Assorted group of 8 buckles, including shoe buckles, some dating from the Colonial period, size ranging from approx. 3 x 3 1/2 in. to 2 3/8 x 1 3/4 in. Conditions vary, generally good but one heavily oxidized. -- Assorted group of buttons and jewelry, including several rings and a pendant, ca 18-19th century. Conditions vary.
[With:] Item identfified by consignor as late 17th-18th century sword strap shoulder belt buckle, 2 x 1 1/2 in., with keeper, "excavated at Brandywine." Provenance: Formerly of the Deborah Sprouse Collection.
[With:] Pin featuring the City Seal of Philadelphia, and the motto "Philadelphia Maneto" ("Let brotherly love endure.") 1 5/8 x 1 3/8 in. ca late 1800s-1900s.
