[AMERICANA]. 4 items fashioned in wood, incl. canteens & a footstool. Ca 18th-19th century.

2 wooden canteens, each with wrought iron fittings, including primitive canteen with turned carrying handle, 9 in. ht., missing one of the wood panels; and camp canteen with turned carrying handle, stopper, and old cloth gasket, 10 in. ht. Some surface staining. 

[With:] Wooden footstool, 7 x 8 x 12 in. With initials and date carved into top of footstool, which appear to read, "MIO 1776," although this is difficult to confirm. Surface wear to footstool, and one leg loose. 

[Also with:] Turned wood vessel with wrought iron fittings, 16 in. ht. Wear throughout, including interior of vessel. Bottom fitting loose, separated from vessel.
