[CIVIL WAR]. TEMTE, O.H., photographer. 4 views San Francisco GAR parade, with 7 ft. veteran.
TEMTE, O.H., photographer. A group of 4 photographs of a GAR parade in San Francisco, one featuring a veteran over 7 feet tall. Ca 1885-90.
3 3/4 x 4 5/8 in. albumen photographs on cardstock mounts (toning, soiling, spotting, and wear to mount edges and corners; small area of paper loss to one photograph). Each with period ink caption on mount recto. One photograph features a very tall man in a top hat captioned, "Green - 7' 4" on Ferry Boat." Provenance: Purchased by consignor from Barbara Temte Rose, great granddaughter of photographer O.H. Temte.
