This haute couture coat was worn by Elizabeth Parke Firestone (1897–1990) who was married to Harvey Firestone Jr.. Mrs. Firestone Jr. was a major haute couture client, especially from Christian Dior. Many of her haute couture garments reside in museums around the United States.
