This dress features a complex fabric made of vertical stripes woven in different threads and alternating between an Ikat and brocade floral pattern. The dress is cut with a crew neckline, long sleeves, empire waistline, and a back tucking detail. The dress consists of an Ikat and brocade fabric with panels that have been woven together to form a single fabric.
A duplicate of this dress is held in the Costume Collection at the Chicago History Museum.
